BURNBY HALL & GARDENS
Spark your creativity!
A newly formed group of research volunteers at Burnby Hall & Gardens in Pocklington were looking for support to help them develop interpretation as part of a Heritage Lottery funded project.
The Authentic Spark provided a beginners’ training workshop in interpretive writing to inspire them to think about audiences and how they can communicate the gardens’ stories most effectively. The enthusiastic group went away with their homework task – to try writing a graphic panel following the tips and ideas we explored.
The second training workshop included sharing the results of their writing task – and thinking more about how best to provoke, relate and reveal through interpretive writing, ready to prepare the interpretive graphic content.
