YORK ART GALLERY
Find your spark!
The Authentic Spark provided facilitation and co-ordination skills to support York Museums Trust’s fast track acquisition bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund.
York Art Gallery hoped to secure one of the last complete works of York-born artist Albert Moore to compliment the gallery’s existing collection of sketches by Moore.
I facilitated the creative and focused ideas generation using a workshop-based approach which brought together members of the curatorial, learning, volunteering and digital teams within the Trust. This enabled the rapid development of the project scope within a short timeframe and at a time of staffing changes within the organisation.
The Authentic Spark helped the project team to identify how best to use the existing information and evidence base. Through targeted information-gathering the process of developing the HLF application was directed and clearly defined.
Heritage Lottery Fund staff were impressed, during a pre-application review, with the level of detail and development we were able to achieve in a short period of time.
