Humber Museums Partnership – Facilitation

Humber Museums Partnership is an Arts Council England funded National Portfolio Organisation. It includes Hull Museum, East Riding Museums and North Lincolnshire Museums. The Authentic Spark facilitated a workshop day to kick-start the Partnership’s new 4 year programme of collaborative working.
The bespoke workshop focused on the Partnership’s business plan aims. Activities aimed to break down perceived barriers or differences between the different partner organisations and build a sense of collective vision and purpose.

I used a range of creative, coaching-based tools and techniques to guide the participants in group work to:
- Identify their shared purpose through ‘Postcards of Purpose’
- Share the strengths and weaknesses of their organisations in a poster
- Vision-board what a successful partnership looks like to them and to their audiences
- Create a hot air balloon to reach their aims, identifying what they need to drop (the weights) and what they need to fan the flames
