I love running interpretive writing workshops. I get a great thrill from sharing the tips and techniques of successful interpretive writing. The principles are simple, when you understand them. The trick is… practice!

Some of you may have been to one of my Tips and Hints masterclasses on the PLB stand at M&H Show over the years. Those 25 minute slots give you a brief and whirlwind tour of the key things to consider for successful interpretive writing.

And anyone can learn the skills for successful interpretive writing! The popularity of the masterclasses inspired me to run my first open workshop in interpretive writing in York this year. The participants enjoyed a tailor-made day, mixing interpretive theory with practice to help them polish up their writing skills.

I thoroughly enjoyed spending a day with creative people. Their enthusiasm for learning and trying out new ideas was energising.
Of course, the excellent food from our wonderful venue Miller’s Yard in York helped our social breaks too!
